CORONAVIRUS (COVID19) RESTRICTIONS
5 December 2020
Following the lifting of national lockdown on 2 December, the Meeting House is reopening for Quaker Worship on Sundays from 6 December. Sunday Meetings are "blended", meaning they can be attended in person or via Zoom. Thursday Meetings are via Zoom only. The Burial Ground remains closed to general access but can be visited by arrangement. If you are interested in either Meeting for Worship or a Burial Ground visit, please contact friends@darlingtonquakers.org
A limited number of our community groups and activities are also restarting, depending on the government guidance in place for their particular type of activity. If you attend an activity or group at the Meeting House, please contact your group leader for information. If you are interested in hiring space, please email manager@darlingtonquakers.org
At Darlington Quaker Meeting you will find a diverse and welcoming community. Our official name is the Religious Society of Friends but we are more commonly known as Quakers or Friends.
Quakerism is rooted in Christianity but, today, Quakers are a broad-based group who believe that there is something of God (or the divine) in everyone.
We invite everyone to join us for worship or just a chat. Details of our Meetings For Worship and weekly Coffee Morning are on the left of this page.
Darlington Friends Meeting House is located in the town centre. Skinnergate is pedestrianised between 10am and 5pm each weekday and 10.30 -5pm on Sundays, but ample parking is available nearby.
When the front door to the building is not open, access is via the rear door - walk through the passageway next door to the Footprints bookshop and then curve round to your left past the fire escape.
